I hope you are doing okay. Katrina was horrific. Mike, my late husband, and I moved back to Abbeville in 2000 from Metairie. I had six people from Lakeview & Metairie staying with me for two months. Poor things had to evacuate Abbeville because of Rita.

I still see friends from Fortier. Once a month in Metairie the ADKs get together. I went to the last 1953 & 1954 reunion but missed seeing you. I plan to go to the next one in October. See Richard & Judy Butker, Sharon and Pete Fabacher from time to time.

Your paintings are beautiful. I still love New Orleans and think of the wonderful time I had as a teenager. Would not have traded that.

Stay well and out of hurricanes

Regards
Gloria

Hi there Peter. My name is Gloria Walker Conlin. If you went to Fortier, I think we had a few dates. I was searching the net for a painting of the Dixielander's. I saw it somewhere but could not make out the artist’s name and came across your site.

I was in your gallery Saturday before Katrina, bought prints for myself and my family. When I was evacuated, I was certain they were a loss because you had to be worried about your own safety. But there they were on my porch two days later! These are treasured prints, showing the beautiful city I grew to love during my month there. I hope to see you again in August.

I moved to Biloxi, MS 3 years ago & bought 2 of your prints in Bay St. Louis. I then found 3 more at the Peter Anderson festival. Katrina has now taken my home & your lovely paintings. Fortunately for me, my two good friends from New Orleans have given me 2 to start my collection again. I am thrilled to have the prints & your website. Your work makes me so happy & I'm glad I can recover what was lost. Thank you

Mr. Briant, I wanted to let you know, in case you hadn't heard - that my Grandfather John Murphy passed away on January 4, 2006. He gave me 4 of your prints a few years back and I cherish those dearly. They hang in my guest bedroom for family & friends to enjoy. PawPaw John also had 2 of your prints in his home (Katrina survivors) that, due to their popularity, family members had to "draw names" for them. We all love your work and plan to continue collecting it.

Hi Peter- you might remember me - I am Victoria's daughter and I used to work your art shows at the Prince Conti with your kids when I was a little girl. Mom and I are heartbroken about NOLA. I was surfing your name - looking for the Fish on Ice print - had one that mom gave me but my cat tore it up...and so I wanted to leave you a message and see if you are okay, etc. Peace-tara

I realized after a second look that both trollies are green, but the red doors and trim stood out more on one of them. They are beautiful pictures and seem to reflect the motion of the cars. If ever in "Nawlins" again, I will make it a point to visit your gallery. By way of interest, what would be the cost of an original (like the Trolly)?

Having been in New Orleans only twice, one of my fondest recollections is of the Charles St. Trolley. The "red" one doesn't ring quite true with me, but the green one really brings me back to two very wonderful summertime experiences at Tulane and its neighboring college whose name escapes me for the moment. I was also impressed by the wonderful homes along Charles Street, and your pictures really bring them to life.

Peter, your "Cafe du Monde" print really captured the spirit of New Orleans for my wife and I. It graces the new kitchen in our house in Massachusetts. We'd like to add to our collection of your work but have limited wall space. Are some of your prints available in smaller sizes?
